To say that Fro' Fashion Week was a dynamic experience.... would be quite the understatement.  As a first time attendee, I was blown away at this years Fro' Fashion Week in Atlanta at the Melia hotel last weekend.  I had the privilege of meeting many women from across the country, who traveled in for a weekend of fun, empowerment and educational beauty seminars.  My experience began with a bloggers brunch on the 25th floor of the Melia overlooking downtown Atlanta with about 40 fashion and beauty bloggers, including esteemed guests Kim Cole and Afrobella.  Thereafter I ventured to visit various vendors, garnering numerous products to try on my own curls as well as an onsite manicure!   

The conclusive highlight of my experience was definitely the Beautiful Textures lounge, which included the most experiential facets of all.  Within the lounge was a hair demonstration, an expression board, the OMG Booth with cute curly-inspired slogans and tons of free products for attendees!  That evening guests also had the opportunity to attend a penthouse party hosted by Kim Cole and return the following day for more beauty seminars and a fashion presentation. The Fro Fashion Week overall is a dynamic concept that empowers women of color to embrace their own beauty and each other, and I'm ecstatic to have attended this year.  Special thanks to Bria Bryant for the media invitation!

Brainchild Associates presented the Fashion Uncorked Kick-Off event last week at Barami in Phipps Plaza. Fashionistas of all facets were in attendance, enjoying Barefoot Wine, tasty desserts from Opie's Cupcakes, free gifts and awesome giveaways. Special thanks to Lenora Bowler for inviting us out!
Fashion Uncorked is a 'Project Runway'-style design competition that fuses wine, decadent foods, a fashionable silent auction, music and more all for a great cause! All event proceeds will benefit the 
Easter Seals North Georgia and their efforts to assist children with disabilities. Fashion Uncorked takes place on Sat., Feb. 11 at the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center.
